In June 2024, I photographed my friend Kailin on a rooftop in Downtown LA, dressed in a modern cheongsam against the glow of city lights. The mood was dreamlike, suspended in time. It seems as if the essence of Wong Kar-wai’s cinematic aesthetic has taken permanent residence in my heart, coloring all my artistic perceptions and visions. Or perhaps it is the rhythmic sway of Brazilian zouk intertwined with the vibrant pulse of Downtown LA that shapes my creative soul.

Larissa Simpson

This spring in Los Angeles, I had the pleasure of shooting with fashion model Larissa Simpson during one of our latest creative sessions. On March 13, we stopped by Caffe Hub in the Hollywood area—a cozy, low-key spot filled with posters of classic music bands that instantly sparked inspiration. The vibe was nostalgic and full of character, and the staff was incredibly kind, letting us shoot throughout the space without hesitation. The mood of the place, paired with Larissa’s energy, gave the shoot a gritty, timeless edge that made it one of the standout sessions of the season.

Emma Miner

In August 2024, I shot test images with Emma from Bounty Models in Downtown Los Angeles during golden hour. Surrounded by skyscrapers and bathed in sunset light, the setting evoked a strong New York City energy—bold, modern, and cinematic. Emma, with her timeless, all-American features, embodied a striking contrast in a tailored, elegant jacket that gave her an air of a modern Victorian vampire. The styling, light, and architecture came together to create a mood that was sleek, dramatic, and editorial—where classic beauty met contemporary edge.
